How to Make Pudsey Ears for BBC Children in Need Appeal
I nipped out to buy myself and son some Pudsey Ears for Children In Need to join in on the celebration and fun.
I went into Boots and they where selling them for £2.50 each.
Just as I was about to buy them I spotted the small print and I was shocked to find that only 25% of the money would go to BBC Children Need.
That’s just £1.20ish of the £5 I was going to Spend on Pudsey Ears going to the Charity, which is ridiculous! where does the remaining £4.60 go?
I quickly put them back on the shelf and gave the £5 I would have spent on Pudsey Ears Directly to Children In Need and decided to make my own Pudsey Ears for Children in Need.
Art Project: What I Like About Me
I’ve been having fun doing a piece of art inspired by What I Like About Me.
It’s a quirky piece of Art I did using paint shop pro copying and pasting as well as drawing images on the things that best describes me and the things I love.
My eye is a rainbow to symbolise that I like to see new and exciting thing.
Behind me is a Cute Cuddle Monster which is my Hubby, he’s happy to snuggle me for hours everyday which makes me ecstatic! although he’d say it’s me who’s the cuddle monster LOL.
I gave myself a big smile because I’m always smiling and it also symbolises my youngest son, he makes me laugh everyday with his fantastic and quirky sense of humour.
Day Relaxing on the Beach
Had a great day today.
I decided to take the day off and took my son to the beach where we did some Beach art.
One of the best things about Home Educating your Kids you can learn in the big outdoors.
We made a sand sculpture of a happy Lady and we called here Sally Free
Had a really good hour or so and the weather even though it’s the middle of October was lovely, bit windy but it’s still warm, I had to take my coat off.
Julian Beever: Pavement Artist – Concrete Canvas TV Program
I was browsing TV channels and Stumbled upon Sky Arts Channel where I discovered a program Called Concrete Canvas.
The program was about the amazing Pavement artist Julian Beever who produces 3D drawings using his own self taught technics.
Julian Beever’s work is Amazing and I’ve enjoyed watching his program Concrete Canvas as he draws on pavements across the world.
I decided to paint a picture on my concrete paths that surround my home years ago, but I just haven’t got around to it yet
I don’t think I will be able to produce anything as stunning as Julian Beevers work since I will have to use paint which is a hard and sometimes unforgiving medium to use, I also have a problem with perspective at the best of times, let alone trying out a technic that distortes perspective to such extremes.
White Butterfly Bush: Mr and Mrs Moose
I couldn’t resist, I had to put some googly eyes on my white Butterfly bush flower to turn it into a comical moose
My piece of imaginative art is simply called “Mr and Mrs Moose”
Enchanted Tree Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve
Drift Wood Owl Sculpture
I collected some pieces of drift wood while out for a walk with my son on the beach, as well as some other bits and bobs like shells, feathers and empty snail shells.
After looking at them for a while they inspired me to create some drift wood art and I made an owl out of the natural bits and pieces.
I’ve never made anything out of drift wood before.
I found it difficult to glue the natural materials onto the wood and a few times they fell off, I ended up using a all purpose glue that is used by builders.
I hope it stays stuck
Elephant Pictures
I’ve been busy painting some pictures of Elephants for my wall
I painted the canvases with sculpture paint then painted it with acrylic, it’s the first time I’ve used sculpture paint and I enjoyed it so much I went back to the shop and brought every packet they had left

Biro and Wash – Crazy Family Cartoon
I haven’t been feeling great and the weather hasn’t
been good, so I picked up my black Biro and drew a picture.
It’s a ink and wash drawing, you draw a picture in ink and then water down some paint and wash over it build up shaded areas with more layers of paint.
I’m rather proud of my picture it came out well. I’ve uploaded it on the net and hung it on my wall at home, so others can have a look at it.
