Happy Days

Went with my son today for a walk in Tower Gardens in Skegness and sat on the grass and had Swallows flying passed us caching insects.

It was amazing the swallows would fly so close that you could hear the sound of the wind though their wings as they whizzed passed.

My son was mesmerized by the swallows acrobatics. We watch the swallows every year as they dart around feeding, but today it was such a calm day it felt wonderful magical almost, we will be moving away from Skegness soon, so it was nice to spend a lovely sunny morning in the park that we love so much.

My husband took me to a cemetery today, no he’s not planning my demise , he took me to a sweet little cemetery called St Clement’s Church in Skegness, so I could take some photographs of the wild life in the church yard, the beautiful headstones and church.

I’m into photography, so this was a great surprise for me.

Got some nice shots I enjoyed it a lot, really thoughtful and sweet of my lovely hubby

My hubby trod in some dog poo, so I don’t think he’ll be taking me back there again, there’s nothing my husband hates more than irresponsible dog owners who don’t care enough about the environment and this sweet little cemetery was covered in it .

It was Euro vision song contest here in Europe last night Saturday 29th May

We watch the Eurovision every year makes for a good laugh, we love to try and work out what the songs are about from other countries, but last night out of 26 countries taking part only three where not in English

Still it wasn’t to bad.

Our favourite was the song from Greece with there song opa. We didn’t have a clue what it was about, but the fun aspect was hard not to enjoy, we where yelling out Opa at the tops of our voice and dancing, we really enjoyed it and it looks like the rest of Britain agreed since we awarded Greece the maximum 12 points making them Britain’s first choice in the Euro vision song contest.

Went for a walk though the Vine in Skegness and got some really good pictures I’m particularly proud of my robin picture.

The Robin sat in a tree straight in front of me singing his little heart out, I got some fantastic pictures. I’ve been wanting to get a good picture of a Robin since I started a hobby in photography 4 years ago and at last I got some fantastic close up shots.

I also got a cute picture of a baby robin.

The verge along this wooded path is filled with weeds that are taller than I am ( I’m Short at 5′.2) and it is filled ladybirds I spotted a black ladybird
and got a good shot I haven’t seen a black ladybird since I was a child so that was a bonus picture too that day.

I’ve dug all the weeds out of my little garden took me three days! and my back is killing me

I accidentally through weeds in my sons face! the weed got stuck on my garden gloves and instead of throwing them passed him they kinder when up in the air a bit and in the wrong direction and hit him square in the face

I laughed anyway!

While we where in the garden me and my son had a bubble gum fight to pass the time while weeding

It all started when I blow a bubble and made it bang and the pop echoed down the street which intrigued my son, I taught him how to pop a bubble gum bubble, then we had a contest on who could pop there bubble the loudest.

Went to see Essence of Ireland show at my local theatre, The theatre was almost packed well over 1,000 went to see it. It was a good night out better than watching nothing on TV like we usually do on a Saturday evening

My son enjoyed it my hubby Hmmm not so much, but then he’s really picky.
Me, I loved it was a lot of fun I really like Irish music and there was a little comedy and some Irish dancing to, was a nice little show and it put a smile on my face.

I’m into photography, it’s one of my favorite hobbies.

I was out with my son when we spotted a male house sparrow beside us in a bush I couldn’t resist

I captured this great close up thanks to the birds natural curiosity interested in what I was doing it positioned it’s self so it could get a good look at me which means I got a good look at him

Had a great April Fools Day

The day started with me stuffing paper into the ends of my sons shoes and waiting to watching him try and put them on, but he put his shoes on when I wasn’t there

Our son burst into the room grinning like a cat with sparkling wide eyes of joy with a huge smile plastered across his face and exclaimed “Dad’s pranked me! Dad got me!”

I never get the credit for doing fun stuff and I missed out on shouting the infamous words April Fool

I got a lovely gift from nature this mothers day I opened up my curtains and saw that my purple crocuses had opened and the sun was shining off there leaves.

Made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside

I nipped outside in my PJ’s and took a picture.

My youngest son gave me a painted canvas for mothers day and my eldest came home from uni to see me, so a good quiet mothers day for me this year.

We went to see WHO’S BAD at our local theatre at the weekend and we had a great night out. The shows a lot of fun with a good concert atmosphere, we got an extra treat when a little kid got up on stage from the audience and did the moon walk perfectly

I would definitely recommend you go see WHO’S BAD if it comes to a theatre near you, the American Michael Jackson tribute band is currently touring the UK
