Swallows on Tower Gardens in Skegness
Went with my son today for a walk in Tower Gardens in Skegness and sat on the grass and had Swallows flying passed us caching insects.
It was amazing the swallows would fly so close that you could hear the sound of the wind though their wings as they whizzed passed.
My son was mesmerized by the swallows acrobatics. We watch the swallows every year as they dart around feeding, but today it was such a calm day it felt wonderful magical almost, we will be moving away from Skegness soon, so it was nice to spend a lovely sunny morning in the park that we love so much.
Cemetery In Skegness
My husband took me to a cemetery today, no he’s not planning my demise
, he took me to a sweet little cemetery called St Clement’s Church in Skegness, so I could take some photographs of the wild life in the church yard, the beautiful headstones and church.
I’m into photography, so this was a great surprise for me.
Got some nice shots, I enjoyed it a lot. Really thoughtful and sweet of my lovely hubby
My hubby trod in some dog poo, so I don’t think he’ll be taking me back there again, there’s nothing my husband hates more than irresponsible dog owners who don’t care enough about the environment and this sweet little cemetery was covered in it
.
Skegness Vine Hotel Walk
Went for a walk though the Vine in Skegness and got some really good pictures I’m particularly proud of my robin picture.
The Robin sat in a tree straight in front of me singing his little heart out, I got some fantastic pictures. I’ve been wanting to get a good picture of a Robin since I started a hobby in photography 4 years ago and at last I got some fantastic close up shots.
I also got a cute picture of a baby robin.
The verge along this wooded path is filled with weeds that are taller than I am ( I’m Short at 5′.2) and it is filled ladybirds I spotted a black ladybird
and got a good shot I haven’t seen a black ladybird since I was a child so that was a bonus picture too that day.
Queen Tribute Concert
Had one of the best nights out last night went to see a Queen tribute band at a theatre and it was awesome!!
We loved every moment of it.
We’re not that into Queen, but we like some of their song ( who doesn’t
) and thought we’d give the show a go, it was fantastic fun I was dancing all night to Queen Classics
One of the best shows we’ve been to see by far the lead singer was unbelievable sounded just like Freddy mercury and had his extravagance on stage
He got the whole audience on their feet clapping singing and dance it was a night not to forget
Essence of Ireland
Went to see Essence of Ireland show at my local theatre, The theatre was almost packed well over 1,000 went to see it. It was a good night out better than watching nothing on TV like we usually do on a Saturday evening
My son enjoyed it my hubby Hmmm not so much, but then he’s really picky.
Me, I loved it was a lot of fun I really like Irish music and there was a little comedy and some Irish dancing to, was a nice little show and it put a smile on my face.
Snipe Dale Nature Reserve
I really enjoyed my trip to Snipe’s Dale Nature Reserve, I haven’t left my home town in over 4 years, so it was a great break for a few hours from the usual for me and was kinder exciting
My hubby hurt his back and had to have an operation a few years back and we haven’t been able to go any where. Looking after my hubby and not dragging him off to places that would course him pain and discomfort is always paramount and it means since he has suffered with a bad back for years ( about 15 years) we as a family don’t get to go many places, so it was a great couple of hours for us being able to see and do some thing different.
The Bon Jovi Experience
Had a great night out at the Embassy Theatre Skegness. We went to see The Bon Jovi Experience and it was Brilliant!.
My hubby is a huge Bon Jovi Fan, but we could never go to see Bon Jovi in concert live due to ill health, so this tribute band did nicely.
Fantastic show from beginning to end every song was rocking, my youngest son was jumping up and down all night.
Even though we all had a cold we still shouted our loudest and sang all the songs lyrics. I think Bon Jovi songs are subconsciously etched into my brain since my hubby listens to the Jovi 24/7 (not kidding)
WHO’S BAD! Michael Jackson tribute band
We went to see WHO’S BAD at our local theatre at the weekend and we had a great night out. The shows a lot of fun with a good concert atmosphere, we got an extra treat when a little kid got up on stage from the audience and did the moon walk perfectly
I would definitely recommend you go see WHO’S BAD if it comes to a theatre near you, the American Michael Jackson tribute band is currently touring the UK
I have wrote a review of WHO’S BAD on another blog I own, check it out
Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat
Went to see Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat at our local theatre, the musical is doing a UK tour and it came to our town. The theatre was almost full with few seat left which is unusual for our humble little theatre.
I liked Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, it’s a colourful family musical, but my hubby said the songs were to Disney for his taste
He sat threw it without to much complaining.
The ending was the best I’ve ever seen with the longest on core I’ve ever witnessed, I think they went threw all the good energetic songs from the show again.
