33 year old Andrew Grady hitch hiked for 55 days from London to South Africa to see England play against Slovenia.

Andrew started his Bizarre journey on April 25 and reached south Africa on June 17th the night before the England match against slovenia was to take place.

After a disappointing beginning with England struggling to score in their other two world cup games against the USA and Algeria Andrew brought England some good luck He saw his first live World Cup match on Wednesday night, watching England beat Slovenia 1-0 in Port Elizabeth.

Mr Grady had been Hitch hiking the traditional way of holding your thumb out in the air to catch a lift, but he later found out that in Africa holding your thumb out is the equivalent of giving some one the middle finger here in the UK.

Taïg Khris a Frenchman Broke the world record in 2010

Taïg Khris has been skating since he was 6 years old, he learned to in-line skate as a teenager and has become a professional in-line skater winning
many competitions in the aggressive sports world.

He dropped 131 feet from the Eiffel Tower onto a skate ramp.

Taïg Khris was 34 years old when he did this amazing world record which is the same age as I am, OK I’m definitely laying off the doughnut from now on

A clever dog from Alaska saved his owner in a house fire by leading police to his home and it was all captured on tape by state police.

The dog Buddy led the police car through the snow covered roads by running in front of the patrol car

Buddy was with his owner when the fire started, some chemicals ignited in a workshop at there home

Mr Heinrichs, Buddy’s owner said “I just told him, ‘We need to get help,’ and then that’s the last time I seen him,”

When asked if Buddy had been trained to get help Heinrichs said. “I didn’t train him or nothing. He just took off and went and did what he did. … He was just being a good dog.”

I always love the inspirational stories that comes from fabulous and inspirational individuals every year who run the 26 mile marathon in London, so in honour of this amazing people I’ve posted the stories of a couple of the runners who took part in the London Marathon 2010.

One of the most Inspirational individuals this year had to Army Hero Major Phil Packer who suffered spinal injuries in Iraq in 2008

Major Phil Packer crossed the finish line in 13 days His personal best. In last years London Marathon he crossed the line in 14 days

Major Packer, only stopped once for physiotherapy in his 13 day marathon, said: “I’m not going to get any time to rest even now – there is work still to be done in terms of fundraising.”

A giant sized chocolate bunny weighing in at 3 tons was revealed in Johannesburg

The Chocolate Bunny took 3 days to make and stood a towering 4 meters, the Chocolate was commissioned by Duracell as a record breaking attempt

After it’s unveiling it was shared out to orphans so it wasn’t waisted.

Awww how sweet their little faces are, they where allowed to eat as much of the giant chocolate bunny as they wanted.

I wouldn’t want to be the careers at the kids bed time after that mass sugar rush hits full flow

A 5 year old British boy that was kidnapped in Pakistan has been found safe and well

The young boy was kidnapped from his grandmothers house while visiting in Pakistan with his father.

There was 10 of Sahil’s family members in the house when the kidnappers entered the house.

The family was held at gun point for 6 hours before little Sahil Saeed was taken along with money and jewellery from his Grandmothers home

Sahil had been missing 12 days and was found 20 miles away from his grandmothers house wandering in a field by local villages

Sahil has been reunited with family in Pakistan and his due to come home to Britain soon.

This news report gave me tingles down my spine, it’s such a wonderful opportunity for the blind to see.

A British soldier blinded by a grenade in Iraq has said his life has been turned around by technology that allows him to “see” with his tongue.

Craig lost his eye sight in 2007 after being hit by a rocket propelled grenade in Iraq. With the help of the device which comprises of a tiny video camera attached to a pair of sunglasses linked to a plastic “lolly pop” which the user places on their tongue to read the electrical pulses, Craig can see black and white 2d images that the device draws on his tongue

Well Done to Amy Williams who won Gold in the Women’s Skeleton Event in the winter Olympics in Vancouver Canada.

Britain hasn’t won a Gold Medal for 30 years and a Woman hasn’t had a Gold since 1952 Amy did exceptionally well, smashing her opponents times.

I watched on T.V the track Amy practices on here in the UK and I was even more impressed!

Here in the UK we don’t get much Snow and with not many Mountains it’s difficult for British winter athletes to train in real wintry conditions and as a result Amy Williams has been practising on a tarmac track, it doesn’t even have any of the twists and turns that the real Skeleton ice track has it’s just a straight run down a hill.

A dog was found 75 miles out in the Baltic sea floating on a piece of ice

The dog was found by scientists who were doing research in the area, it’s thought the dog may have got stranded on the ice sheet on a river which then floated out to sea.

The dog was taken back to Poland by the scientists were he had a full examination from a vet, remarkably the dog suffered no ill effects from being stranded out at sea on a ice float and is making a wonderful recovery.

Several people have placed claim to the dog after he appeared on polish television, but none have been it’s owners.

A seven year old boy from England has raised a staggering amount of money for the Haiti earthquake fund. The little boy did a sponsored bike ride around his park was hopping to raise £500, but he ended up raising over an astonishing 100,000 after posting on the Justgiving website telling people about his 5 mile bike ride.

In his message he said “I want to do a sponsored bike ride for Haiti because there was a big earthquake and loads of people have lost their lives.

“I want to make some money to buy food, water and tents for everyone in Haiti.”
