33 year old Andrew Grady hitch hiked for 55 days from London to South Africa to see England play against Slovenia.
Andrew started his Bizarre journey on April 25 and reached south Africa on June 17th the night before the England match against slovenia was to take place.
After a disappointing beginning with England struggling to score in their other two world cup games against the USA and Algeria Andrew brought England some good luck He saw his first live World Cup match on Wednesday night, watching England beat Slovenia 1-0 in Port Elizabeth.
Mr Grady had been Hitch hiking the traditional way of holding your thumb out in the air to catch a lift, but he later found out that in Africa holding your thumb out is the equivalent of giving some one the middle finger here in the UK.
