Felt fed up today so I took the day relaxing by Knitting my self a necklace simple to do. I’m not the best Knitter in the world and I’ve only just learned how to Crochet a line. I learned to knit when I was young, I recently took it up again I’m still a beginner, But the necklace didn’t come out to bad and it looks great and keeps you warm in the winter chill so it beats to birds with one stone: Fashion accessory and practical winter attire

Choker:

The choker is knitted and the strings Crocheted. Choose knitting needles according to the width you want you choker to be I chose U.K size 5 knitting needles

Cast on 8 stitches
knit one row, purl one row as follows: n1 row, p1 row, n1 row, p1 row, n3 rows
Continue Knitting the rows until you have the length required to go around you neck then cast off.

Make a two simple crochet strings and sew them onto the ends of your choker with a darning needle.

Necklace:

The necklace is totally Crocheted

It’s made by Crocheting a line 50-100cm long depending on how big you want the pendent to be mine was 50cm long.

Pendent: Crochet a line to the length you require then tie off. thread a darning needle with wool and coil the Crocheted string into a spiral and sew one the coils together as you go ( NOTE: Make each stitch close together, Don’t leave large gaps or it will fall apart) .

Pull the center stitches quite tight so that the center protrudes and ease off as you work out tie off , you should have a sort of bowl shape with a protruding center.

Sew a decorative button in the center of the pendent.

Necklace string:

Simply Crochet one continues string big enough to slid over your head to the required size (mine was 60 cm long) tie off then sew it to the top of the pendent.

Earring:

The earring was made by getting a pair of hooped earring from a shop and wrapping wool around them.
