Dude you have a Lettuce on your Head

We all know E-fits of crime suspects don’t look anything like the perpetrator, but this is Hilarious.

I think if there was someone walking around with a lettuce for hair and no ears, he would have been stopped by the fashion police years ago

I laughed out loud when I saw this on Sky News, my hubby even recorded it for me, so I didn’t miss it.

Hampshire police have defended their decision to release the Lettuce Hair E-fit of a suspect who stole £60 from an elderly lady’s handbag after he had finished some garden work for her.

My Hubby loves French Toast and since it was raining all day today I decided to cook him up a batch of Cinnamon and Orange French Toast, made him really happy .

He always eats to many then feels sick afterwards, but after 20 years together I’ve given up trying to tell him not to eat so much, I tried refusing to make him more than three, but he just goes and makes some more himself, there’s no reasoning with him when it comes to french toast .

Ingredients

Bread (it’s up to you how many)
eggs (1 for every two slices)
1/4 of a cup of milk
orange zest from 1 orange
oranges 1 for each person
cinnamon 1 teaspoon
sugar
oil for frying

I was looking up more jokes on the web to put on my blog and found these

These Jokes are supposedly letters sent to UK councils from tenants to do with repair or complaints about neighbours.

Just had a great experience on a walk with my hubby and youngest son.

We went for a walk to our local park at dusk and saw several bats hunting for insects, we stood in the middle of where they were hunting and had them flying past us, circling above us and flying right in front of us.

We were surrounded by daddy long legs (crane flies) that they where hunting, my hubby being the tallest in the family kept giving out a shout as they wiped by close to his head.

Absolutely thrilling, we stood their for a good 10 minutes before we had to go .

I saw the film Juno last night and the opening song was All I want is You by Barry Louis Polisar and I love it, it made me feel really happy, give it a listen it’s great, really uplifting.

The film Juno wasn’t bad either loved the character Juno, the type of character you wish you had as a friend in real life, quirky and fun.

Was reading an article about how smells can jog childhood memories and it got me thinking about smells that transport me back to my childhood, my top three are creosote, chimney smoke and parma violets

When ever I used to smell Creosote it would transport me back to hot summers days where people would be out weather proofing there fences by painting it with creosote. I remember walking past fences or sheds in the warm sunshine and smelling the chemical evaporating into the air when ever the fence would be warm up by the hot summer sun.

Creosote has been banned for a number of years now, apparently it’s dangerous for your health , but occasionally you’ll get a whiff off an old fence in the summer heat or a telephone poll.

I have fond Memories of the cartoon Tetley Tea Folk that was on Teltley Commercial when I was a child.

I remember saving tokens from Teltley Tea Bag Boxes, so I could acquire some merchandise featuring the Tetley Tea Folk, I still have and use an oven glove that I got years ago.

The word on the grape vine is that Tetley is bringing back the Tetley tea folk to our screens once again, they haven’t been feature on British TV since 2002 and was first introduced 1973 (wow, before I was born).

I for one would love to see gaffa and lovable Sydney again.

Frenchman Philippe Croizon completed a 2 year ambition to swim the English channel between England and his homeland France.

Philippe had his arms and legs amputated after an electrical accident.

Philippe Croizon lost his limbs after he was Electrocuted from a nearby power line while removing a TV aerial from a roof 16 years ago.

42 year Philippe Croizon completed his swim in 14 hours well below his estimated 24 hours and it is thought to be the fastest time for an disabled swimmer.

Philippe swam the channel with the aid of prosthetic legs that had flippers attached at the ends.

Mr Croizon said “that at no point did he feel he was not going to make it, despite pains and aches all over his body.”

Had a great day today cooking Strawberry and Apple Crumble with my son, while we were cooking we cranked up the music and sang as loud as we could in the kitchen.

Ingredients For the crumble

•300g/10½oz plain flour, sieved pinch of salt

•175g/6oz soft brown sugar

•200g/7oz unsalted butter, cubed at room temperature.

•Knob of butter for greasing

For the filling

•1 large Brambly apple, peeled, cored and cut into chunks

•50g/2oz soft brown sugar

•1 punnet of Strawberries

Method

1. Cube the butter and rub into the flour until it resembles Bread Crumbs.

I was browsing TV channels and Stumbled upon Sky Arts Channel where I discovered a program Called Concrete Canvas.

The program was about the amazing Pavement artist Julian Beever who produces 3D drawings using his own self taught technics.

Julian Beever’s work is Amazing and I’ve enjoyed watching his program Concrete Canvas as he draws on pavements across the world.

I decided to paint a picture on my concrete paths that surround my home years ago, but I just haven’t got around to it yet

I don’t think I will be able to produce anything as stunning as Julian Beevers work since I will have to use paint which is a hard and sometimes unforgiving medium to use, I also have a problem with perspective at the best of times, let alone trying out a technic that distortes perspective to such extremes.
