Went with my son today for a walk in Tower Gardens in Skegness and sat on the grass and had Swallows flying passed us caching insects.
It was amazing the swallows would fly so close that you could hear the sound of the wind though their wings as they whizzed passed.
My son was mesmerized by the swallows acrobatics. We watch the swallows every year as they dart around feeding, but today it was such a calm day it felt wonderful magical almost, we will be moving away from Skegness soon, so it was nice to spend a lovely sunny morning in the park that we love so much.
Another happy moment I had with my son a couple of days ago was during a thunder storm.
It was late at night about 11pm when the rain started to bang on the window, my son came to me in the kitchen and told me about the rain.
I asked him if he would like to go out side. We ran to the door and stood outside in the pouring rain in the middle of the night first with an umbrella then without, we came back inside and cuddle at the window while we watched the lighting, my son was wide eyed as we watched the storm together and talked about the patterns of the rain on the floor and street lights.
I went to bed happy after watching the storm after being wrapped inside the curtain with my son.
Sharing a small precious moment with my youngest son and seeing how happy he was and I was for that matter reminded me I don’t have many of these little moments left, he’s already thirteen soon he’ll be to old to hold and cuddle at the window or to sensible to go out in the rain with his mom in the middle of the night dancing in the rain at well passed his bed time.
I thought I’d write down these two small Happy moments with my youngest son so I never forget. I’ve done this kind of crazy stuff with all my kids, but little things can get forgotten and can pass by never to be remember, I want to hold on to these two simple memories for as long as possible.
