Went to Tower Gardens our local park in Skegness and spotted a Male Mallard with a feather stuck up it’s nose hole and it made me smile
I love Photography I’ll take pictures of anything particularly if it’s unusual or funny and Ducks make a good Photography subject since they are so comical.
Just click on the Duck pictures to see a larger image of my photos.
Tower Gardens doesn’t have many ducks on the pond, but I have taken hundreds of pictures of Mallards over the 4 years we have lived in Skegness in Lincolnshire.
There are Duck all over Skegness on the park, waterway, boating lake and beach.
I’m a bit surprised that there aren’t more Water Fowl in Skegness other than Mallards since Skeg has a nature reserve with many lakes at Gibralta point that is 3 miles away from the center of Skeggy and the lakes at Gibralta have many water fowl and sea bird residence.
There’s a few Canadian Geese, moorhens and coots at the Boating lake, but that’s it, I’ve never seen a swan in Skegness for instants and there wide spread thought out the UK, maybe Swans don’t like the seaside
.
There was a cormorant once that was passing though the boating lake and it caused quite a bit of excitement in the town for the week it stayed here before moving on.
Sorry for waffling, but my husband says I have to type more so my articles get indexed in Google and people find my Karma blog. I’m not much of a talker ( I know unusual for a woman
) and I don’t find it easy to do small talk, bear with me though I hope after some practise I’ll get good at the whole blogging communication thing
.
Hope you enjoy looking at my Duck photography as much as I enjoy taking them.
